Optimum Sensors Allocation for a Forest Fires Monitoring System

چکیده
Every year forest fires destroy millions of hectares land worldwide. Detecting fire ignition in the early stages is fundamental to avoid catastrophes. In this approach, Wireless Sensor Network explored develop a monitoring system send alert authorities when detected. The study sensors allocation essential type since its performance directly related position sensors, which also defines coverage region. paper, mathematical model proposed solve sensor problem. This considers limitation, distance, and density interference reach. A Genetic Algorithm implemented optimisation minimise hazard. results obtained are promising algorithm could allocate avoiding overlaps minimising total hazard value for both regions considered.

Neural Network-Based Hardware Architecture multi- sensor for Monitoring Forest fires in Wireless Sensors Network
In this paper, we present and evaluate multi-sensor hardware architecture for monitoring forest fires using wireless sensors network (WSN). In the proposed architecture, each node is equipped with various sensors for temperature and carbon monoxide in order to improve accuracy detection. A method of neural network is applied to the data processing detected by the different sensors. This hardwar...
متن کاملAn RFID Plug-n-Play smart sensors for monitoring forest fires
Several applications require for a distributed measurement system able to measure the same or different parameters at different points in a wide area. Distributed systems based on smart web sensors represent the best solution to many different measurement problems. One of the main disadvantages of monitoring systems based on smart Web sensors is the difficulty to have a complete access to all d...
متن کاملA vision-based monitoring system for very early automatic detection of forest fires
This paper describes a system capable of detecting smoke at the very beginning of a forest fire with a precise spatial resolution. The system is based on a wireless vision sensor network. Each sensor monitors a small area of vegetation by running on-site a tailored vision algorithm to detect the presence of smoke. This algorithm examines chromaticity changes and spatio-temporal patterns in the ...
متن کاملMonitoring Tropical Forest Fires Using Predictive Modeling for Rare Classes
This paper presents a new predictive modeling framework designed to learn classification models from imperfectly labeled samples, in the absence of expertannotated training samples, for identifying rare classes. Our results show that, under some reasonable assumptions, the classifiers trained from imperfectly labeled training data using this approach have performance comparable to the models tr...
متن کاملEarly Warning System for forest fires in Mexico
Since 1999, The National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity (CONABIO) contributes to combating Forest Fires in Mexico and Central America, by means of CONABIO ́s program for hot spot detection using remote sensing techniques. Currently the program is using Terra/Aqua-MODIS satellite images between six and eight times a day to detect hot spots which might be considered as possib...
